Many people always ask me how to turn a scan into a document that could be used for selection of text, in other words, Optical Character Recognition, or OCR for short. I've been using a great tool for quite some time, called PDFPen Pro. It not only lets me edit PDF documents (i.e. adding a signature to a bank form, etc), but also lets me process the form in order to extract all the recognised text from it. Check it out!
http://smilesoftware.com/PDFpenPro/index.htmlMonkey Mac has become a Meraki (www.meraki.com) partner, to provide affordable, enterprise-class wireless networking. Unlike other wireless solutions, there is no need to constantly buy and upgrade several pieces of infrastructure meaning you can have enterprise-class wireless networking at a fraction of the cost. You only need a single Meraki Enterprise Access Point and Monkey Mac will help you configure and deploy the wireless network to meet the needs of your organization.
Meraki's Enterprise Access Points use enterprise-class chipsets, meaning you will have ethernet speeds without the wires. With Meraki, multiple wireless networks can be operated fully isolated each with their own policies on a single network. Standard-based encryption methods such as WPA2 and WPA2 Enterprise (with authentication to a Mac OS X Server) are used, meaning your network is safe and secure.
What does this mean to you? With only one piece of hardware, your organization can have a low upfront cost and it is a future-proof investment. The Cloud Controller never needs to be replaced and is seamlessly and automatically updated. Wireless deployment is done in minutes or hours, not days or weeks. Administration and configuration can be done from a browser anywhere in the world and the interface is streamlined and intuitive, cutting hours of training and installation time while reducing maintenance and troubleshooting time. If you are interested in an easy and secure wireless network with industry-leading coverage, we can help you out, call us today and we'll show you why Monkey Mac also chose Meraki wireless for our own network!
